OpenStar moves quickly. Its first prototype, Junior, was built, tested, and achieved its first plasma within two years for less than $10 million USD. First plasma is an internationally recognised milestone marking the first time a fusion device successfully contains superheated fuel and only a handful of companies have achieved this. The next step is to a develop a series of devices, culminating in electricity producing devices in the 2030s.
